“If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try again.”
One of the most important things about this hobby is trial and error. Some loopholes stay around for a while. Others disappear in a matter of days. The part that I find most exciting about Travel Hacking is finding a new way to earn points/miles. The hobby is constantly evolving.
There isn’t a “right” way to do things. I can suggest a credit card to you, but that might not be the best credit card for you. I can find a way to manufacture spending, but that method won’t last forever. Part of this whole hobby is trying new things. Most of the time they will fail, but who knows you may find the next gold mine.
I am posting this to encourage you (and myself) to always explore new ways of earning points. It is not easy. It takes time and research. Lastly, you sometimes just have to try it for yourself and see if it works. How else do you think people discovered that certain gift card retailers code as office supply stores on the Ink+? How else do you think people discovered you could load the Target RedCard (R.I.P.) with a credit card? Trial and error.
So go out there and try things for yourself!
